{"id":1601,"date":"2025-03-02T17:51:33","date_gmt":"2025-03-02T17:51:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/knitivity.com\/?p=1601"},"modified":"2025-03-03T18:20:26","modified_gmt":"2025-03-03T18:20:26","slug":"its-ok-to-use-dk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/knitivity.com\/index.php\/2025\/03\/02\/its-ok-to-use-dk\/","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s OK to use DK!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Sunday!<\/p>\n<p>This week we have just ten skeins of DK yarn in a 75\/25 Superwash Merino\/Nylon blend, 245 yards each.\u00a0 \u00a0It&#8217;s a short collection this week, and I&#8217;m hoping to have more yarn ordered by the end of the coming week.<\/p>\n<p>I went into the dye session thinking I would do all single skeins, but I did end up doing a couple Twinsets.\u00a0 I had been given dye samples from a different brand, which came in little pre-measured sachets.\u00a0 The first Twinset (#157-158) was a color called Deep Water, which came up looking more like Teal than what I expected.\u00a0 The sachet wasn&#8217;t enough to cover adequately, so I supplemented the vat with some navy, creating a two-tone pair of lovely yarns, perfect for a cowl, scarf, or hat.\u00a0 \u00a0The other Twinset (#165-166) is a straight violet pair.<\/p>\n<p>The other sample sachet I got was Blood Orange, seen on #159.\u00a0 Skein #160 was a blend of leftover brown and other colors from the previous dye session &#8212; a nice deep chocolate-y color.\u00a0 \u00a0That skein took up most of the color, but there was a little remaining so I supplemented it with a dash of gray and created #163.<\/p>\n<p>Skein #161 was a jar of leftover reds from the previous dye session; it came out good and rich, with some dye remaining so I added a little gray to that as well to create #164.\u00a0 \u00a0Skein #162 is a straight Aztec Gold.<\/p>\n<p>All of these will be on the Blog Reader Specials page at $28.00 each, but you can take your pick\u00a0 early with just $1-per-skein for shipping inside the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>I expect to have these ready to ship on or about Wednesday or Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>To claim the ones you want, just <a href=\"mailto:ray@knitivity.com\"><strong>send me an email<\/strong><\/a> (ray@knitivity.com) and I&#8217;ll take care of it for you.\u00a0 As selections are claimed I will mark them off the Available Yarns tally below.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Available Yarns:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><del><span style=\"color: #cbcbcb;\">157, 158<\/span><\/del><strong>, <\/strong><del><span style=\"color: #cbcbcb;\">159<\/span><\/del><strong>, <\/strong><del><span style=\"color: #cbcbcb;\">160<\/span><\/del><strong>, 161, <\/strong><del><span style=\"color: #cbcbcb;\">162<\/span><\/del><strong>, <\/strong><del><span style=\"color: #cbcbcb;\">163<\/span><\/del><strong>, 164, <\/strong><del><span style=\"color: #cbcbcb;\">165, 166<\/span><\/del><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/knitivity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/BRS25-01Mar-Rack.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1602\" src=\"https:\/\/knitivity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/BRS25-01Mar-Rack.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"831\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knitivity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/BRS25-01Mar-Rack.jpg 800w, https:\/\/knitivity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/BRS25-01Mar-Rack-289x300.jpg 289w, https:\/\/knitivity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/BRS25-01Mar-Rack-768x798.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>P.S.
